Inner and Outer Worlds

Life resounds simultaneously on three levels - physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual. Awareness needs to be developed on all levels. While miracles do occur, for most of us healing is a gradual process of becoming more aware, and therefore more response-able, for the choices we make and the energy we are processing at each moment, through body, mind, and spirit.

Healing requires more than being receptive to universal energy. It requires more than the use of mental approaches - the currently popular visualizations and affirmations. Healing is a deep inner journeying - a search for the soul, the essence of self. This inner journeying is a gradual - and at times painful - process of developing self-awareness. It requires a confrontation with all that stands between self and essence - our deepest fears and beliefs about our worth, our sickness, and health. Healing is the integrating of the inner and outer worlds - the re-uniting of body, mind, and spirit.

It is not up to us to judge the reason for another's disease. We are all learning, in our own way, what we need to learn - individually and collectively. If one person has cancer or AIDS while another is in good physical health, it does not necessarily mean the ill person is less evolved or less "spiritual" than the seemingly well one. (continues)
